There has been a great deal of discussion of ISIS the last couple of months, especially since the public execution of U. S. photojournalist, James Wright Foley. What do you know about this group?
If anything, it shows us why we study history, geography, and world religions. The region of the Middle East, which seems to be continually occupying United States policy makers, seems to have complex problems, some of which are rooted in thousands of years of political and religious history.
